We have decided to do a test breeding between Washoe’s Cactus Jack and Washoe’s Black Dahlia. Breeding took place in late May 2008. We will know in June if our bitch is pregnant. In this litter we are striving for: Excellent structure, good health, and nice temperaments with a Collie work ethic too!

Both Collies meet the American Collie Illustrated Standard that can be viewed at the Collie Club of America website.

We will have performed the following health tests on both parents by the time the puppies are born, so there is some assurance of health quality for buyers:

  • CERF- eyes for Collie Eye Anomaly
  • MDR - mutant gene test for chemical sensitivities
  • OFA - on hips, elbows, thyroid (already have excellent grade in the male)
  • CBC Blood Panel - test for blood chemistry health/future health flags
  • Chem Panel - test for organ health/future health flags
  • Heska Allergy Tests - test for food allergens
