NEWS 2016-
 Washoe’s San Paulo Brass, our male pup from our Nov 2014 litter (Sunny x Viv) is tearing up the show ring with wins! Of course we give full credit to his handlers Jean Gauchat-Hargis and Josh Hargis of Summerwind Canines for their wonderful handling and show management!
NEWS 2015-
Washoe’s Sol Brasileiro, our Sunny, earned his BN obedience title at the Reno Kennel Club in August of 2015.
Our new pups, Washoe’s San Paulo Lass and Washoe’s San Paulo Class (HollyGirl) passed their  AKC Puppy STAR class at Truckee Meadows Dog Training Club in Reno Nevada.
NEWS 2014
 Rio and Ellen earn their Rally Novice Title at the Truckee Meadows Dog Training Club Obedience Trials in Reno Nevada.
HERDING-2013
 At WVC we believe our collies should have the heart of a herding dog! So we have our own sheep they grow up with.
Washoe’s Presente de Anjo (Angel) and her brother Washoe’s Sol Brasileiro, CGC (Sunny) have earned their Herding Instinct Certificate! (see Herding Page)
  Lance earned herding titles in 2010, PT and HT and came in “Reserve High in Trial” at the 2010 CCA Western Regional Herding Trials. We try to put at least HIC certifications on all our kennel dogs. We think herding ability is important for our collies to have!
CONFORMATION-throughout the years
 WVC has also produced three championship dogs and two grand champions as well as a 2006 CCA National Specialty Show Winner, Clarion Mask of Midnight, HIC, 3rd in her AOC bitch class. Beautifully presented by handler Jean Gauchat-Hargis.
Ekanuba 2012 National Dog Show Award of Merit winner, Ch Washoe’s Sierra Gold (DD), is owned and personally handled a by Linda Lanham of Harley Collies, Texas.
And our latest winner....Jake, son of our Lance x Viv litter of 2010.
 
 Linda at Harley Collies in Texas, (OUR MOST EXCELLENT CUSTOMER AND FRIEND!) recently finished the American Grand Championship on our Zaza a daughter of Lance x Viv from 2010! Congratulations Girls! Linda of Harley Collies and our DD, Washoe’s Sierra Gold, take the 2012 Eukanuba National Dog Show by storm, and get an Award of Merit.
 
Zaza also finished her GCh and also a BN title under Linda's ambitious guidance!
PERFORMANCE - THRUGHOUT THE YEARS
 Washoe’s Abbey Spring Rose and her mom, Judi, just earned her CDX title at Reno Kennel Club August 16, 2013! Congrats to Judi and Abbey! She is a our local Performance Powerhouse from Portola California.
 Washoe’s Sol Brasileiro, CGC, Sunny just earned his first leg in Beginner Novice Obedience handled by breeder/owner Barb at Reno Kennel Club Aug 16, 2013.
Collie Ambassador, Rio Kelly, charmed the Princesses at the Northern Nevada Paws For The Cause Dog Walk Aug 17, 2013.
Rio and Sunny are the sons of Fairieland Brazilian Tornado and Washoe’s Burnished Gold, CGC and are half Brazilian collies! Collies can do it all!
We have many accomplishments in the performance and show rings with our collies. Those we own ourselves, and those of our dear customers. They are quite a crew of go-getters and we at WVC are very proud of them!

Recently we earned a CGC on four of our WVC collies at Truckee Meadows Dog Training Club. And will be chasing various obedience titles as time and energy permit. Training is ongoing at WVC.
Congrats to:  Jack, Sunny (his first AKC title!), Viv and Lance for earning their CGC titles!
THERAPY WORK
Many of our collies also work in therapy. Linda in Texas has worked hard to put therapy dog titles on her beloved collies. But our most active therapy collies are owned and trained by Ellen Kelly of Reno NV. She owns both Rio and Kerry, but  who are active in therapy work at the Renown Skilled Nursing facility in Sparks NV.
